Jinjer – Macro. Jinjer is back with the follow up to ‘Micro’ with ‘Macro’! Out tomorrow, October 25th via Napalm Records, fans are in for another great release from these technical geniuses.
For those of you who are familiar with this Ukrainian Groove/Progressive Metal band, you have an idea what to expect. There’s nothing completely shocking on this album as far as the progression of their sound. It’s another release that solidifies their sound and their abilities and musicians yet continues on providing some serious new tracks.
The one thing about Jinjer that still always surprises me, even though I already know Tatiana Shmayluk‘s vocal capabilities, is how she manages to belt out such a crazy range that looks so effortless to her. I’ve long said she’s got the face of an angel and the voice of Satan, that’s the best way to describe her insane deep growls, but like the flick of a switch, she’s angelic with clean tones that so many of of wish we could get just partially as good as she is.
The music this time around, another dose of intense timing, blast beats and the expected and appreciated gentle grooves. The technicality these artists have is beyond advanced. Such incredible, big performances on this release. There’s nothing more I could think of wanting on this album, except maybe a few more tracks to keep listening!
