Do you like punk rock? Do you like beer? If you have said yes to both of these things, than I have great news for you! The Bash Music and Craft Beer Festival is coming to Tacoma, Washington next Sunday!!
The festival is set to take place at Lemay’s – America’s Car Museum. The festival will feature over 100 craft beers and begin early in the afternoon. Beer tasting will last up to four hours! So there is plenty of time to go and try all of the drinks you want before the show begins. During the beer tasting, there will be local craft beers as well as nation wide brews as well. One of the beers that will be making it’s debut is Brewstomper Golden Ale. The beer was crafted by Rancid and Ska Brewing. When you get inside the venue, make sure to grab one of the brews before they are gone!
After the beer tasting portion of the afternoon is finished, the music will begin. The massive line up for the show will make every punk rocker in the venue go crazy for the rest of the day. So be prepared to tear it up in the pit and have a good time! In the following paragraphs will be descriptions of the bands that are playing the Tacoma stop of the tour.
Noi!se are a local punk band from Tacoma, Washington! The hometown boys are ready to put on quite a show for the fans at the festival. With many punk bands praising them for their style, it is no wonder why this band was selected to play The Bash. Make sure to come out early to check these guys out and support your local punk scene!
L7 is an all female punk band from Los Angeles, California. These ladies have been around since the mid 1980’s and have been an influence to many bands. L7 went on a long hiatus in 2001 and reunited in 2014. When the band reunited they went on numerous tours throughout Europe, North America and festival circuits. In 2018 the band began to record their first album in nearly 20 years! In May of this year they released their current album “Scatter The Rats“.
Suicidal Tendencies is a cross over thrash band from Venice, California. The band has been around for almost 40 years and they are still tearing it up! The band causes chaos wherever they go with their high energy sets and crazy stage antics. With each song sounding different from the next, these guys can appeal to a massive audience. Having these guys on a bill full of punk bands is a perfect fit. If you plan on being in the pit for their set, be prepared for massive circle pits and to be slammed hard.
Pennywise is a punk band from Hermosa Beach, California. The band formed in the late 1980’s and released their first album “Pennywise” in 1991. The band gained success by playing with bands such as Rancid, Bad Religion, and Green Day. With 12 studio albums, the band has plenty of material to rile up the crowd! The bands latest album “Never Gonna Die” was released in 2018 on Epitaph Records.
The headliners for the festival are punk legends Rancid from Berkeley, California. Three of the four band members were formally in the punk band Operation Ivy. During the early 1990’s, the band helped revitalize the punk scene. When their album “Let’s Go” was released, the band blew up on the mainstream stage. Then the following year, the band certified their place on top of the punk scene with their album “… And Out Come The Wolves”. With numerous highly acclaimed albums, and extensive tours, Rancid is considered to be one of the most influential punk bands of all time.
