As you know, Nocturnal Rites are back! They released a crazy new album, Phoenix, in September 2017 on AFM Records after a 10 year hiatus! The new music is great, we did a full review of the album and you can check that out here.

So imagine the excitement when Sweden Rock Festival announced they had booked Nocturnal Rites for the 2018 show! Not only did Sweden Rock announce an appearance, but as luck would have it…. So did Prog Power USA! As a matter of fact fans, the ONLY place in North America that you will have the opportunity to see Nocturnal Rites perform live, will be at the 2018 Prog Power USA in Atlanta, GA on September 5th, the Day 1 of this years show! I initially thought during our interview that the Day 1/ Day 2 passes were sold out, but as luck has it for a few of you, there are still a small number of tickets still available, but soon to sell out. Don’t wait and risk missing these guys!

While I was at Sweden Rock, you better believe that I reached out to Nocturnal Rites to get some face time and to ask them about the upcoming show at Prog Power USA along with a few other things. I chat with Nils Eriksson back in October about the hiatus and the new album, listen to that here. This time around, I got to sit down with Fredrik Mannberg, guitarist and one of the founding members. It was a great conversation and he even talks a bit about other music in the works. Check it all out below.

You can check out some live shots from their show here and we will have some exclusive shots in our magazine issue coming out at the end of this month.

We will see all of you Prog Power USA fans at the show in September!

Thanks again Fredrick for the interview!
