Chase Rice Live at The Fillmore! – Chase Rice, one of the newest rising country singers, brought his Lambs and Lions Tour to The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland Friday evening. On tour with Rice was Travis Denning.
First up was Travis Denning. Denning hails from Warner Robins, Georgia and got his start in music about 10 years ago as a musician and songwriter. In 2014 he was signed to RED Creative Group where he’s since had songs recorded by artists such as Jason Aldean and Justin Moore. Denning is now signed to UMG Nashville. His sound is simply southern country. He performed an entertaining set and had great stage presence.
Up next for the evening was Chase Rice in his headlining performance. Many people may remember Rice as a contestant on Survivor: Nicaragua, where he was a runner up. Rice’s stage show is a thrill ride from start to finish. He performed songs from his 2014 debut album, ‘Ignite the Night’ as well as his current album, ‘Lambs & Lions’.
Two songs he performed that I especially enjoyed were, “Ready Set Roll” and “Three Chords & The Truth”. Rice is a great songwriter and performer. When he’s not performing his own music, he’s also been known to write with other artists. One notable song that was a smash hit was “Cruise” which was co-written with Florida Georgia Line. Chase Rice is an artist to keep an eye on. I can’t wait see what good things come from him in the future.
It was a great evening out and fans should make a point to catch either of these artists when they have a chance to see them live.
