Corrosion of Conformity is back with an explosive new album titled ‘No Cross No Crown’. This is the first new album with Pepper Keenan back as frontman with COC in many years. With producer John Custer at the the helm it sounds like COC have picked up right where they left off.
‘No Cross No Crown’ has that classic raw, hard and gritty rock feel to the sound, there’s no maybe the sound is back, it’s definitely back! Pepper’s vocals pull it all together providing listeners with the COC sound they’ve been waiting to return for years.
There’s a groovy feel in the instrumentals that bring back that classic rock sound from years ago, that sound that’s got a little of what seems like spaced out stoner tone mixed in with that good ole Southern rock with heavy guitar riffs, lots of great melody and grungy, intense vocals with lots of grit and dragging tones spread across each track.
This album is one of those albums that really needs no description. I can tell you, it’s just one of those albums you put on, instantly feel the music and dive in head first to enjoy the entire experience. It’s something music fans can sit and listen to and then sit around talking to other fans about. Most noteworthy is that Corrosion of Conformity did a great job on this new album and I think this is one fans are really going to dig for years to come.
Finally, I suggest that you head out and grab a copy of ‘No Cross No Crown’ as soon as it comes out and get out and catch COC live on tour with Black Label Society so you can witness the new tracks live!
