Last weekend John 5 and The Creatures returned to the Seattle area to play two encore shows at the same two venues they performed at in March 2017 on the “Season of the Witch Tour”. Fans were excited to have the opportunity to see John 5 and The Creatures again and especially so close to Halloween.

The shows were decked out with pumpkins and the venues both played the cult classic Halloween cartoon movie “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”.

Each show had different local opening support.  The first show at Louie G’s had the openers American Wrecking CompanyDead Rebel Saints and Hesh. The second show at Tony V’s Garage had local support from Wyatt Olney and the Wreckage and Superfekta.

I caught the Tony V’s Garage show this time around as I did back in March, you can see that review and photos here. It was so enjoyable to see a second round of what we had witnessed earlier in the year, but with a few new twists. This time he brought with him an onslaught of guitar choices, a banjo and a mandolin. What on earth was he doing with a banjo and mandolin?  Playing amazing music that everyone should hear on these kinds of instruments! There were a few antics from the stage too, a few t-shirts tossed to fans and Halloween candy too.  With the candy came a fun moment when John 5 himself opened a package and began noshing it along with loud nom-nom-nom sounds.  Then he headed into his newest song, “Enter Sandman” a cover of Metallica‘s hit song and had the audience provide the vocals.  With each show, I enjoy something new I missed the last time and the fun of the show that John 5 and his bandmates provide. If you ever want to catch a great live show, make a point to catch a John 5 show. You will have a great time and enjoy great music.

This time around I had the opportunity to sit down and talk to John 5 and see what he’s been up to since March and what’s upcoming for him. He gave me an exclusive that you guys want to hear!  It’s about his upcoming live album.  Watch the video interview below and hear it straight from John 5 personally!
