British rockers Diamond Head have launched into the second leg of their 2017 North American tour. They kicked of this round of the tour this past Saturday night in Las Vegas at Psycho Festival and now they are headed our way, that’s Seattle to be exact after a stop in Portland, OR on Wednesday night. Then the band will be heading across Canada and will wrap up this North American tour in New York City on September 11.
But that’s not the end of their 2017 tour, the band will be heading back to Ireland and the UK for tour dates in November and December before they wrap up their year in Belgium at the Blast From the Past Festival.
For those of you not familiar with Diamond Head, the band was founded in 1976 in Stourbridge, England (The west midlands region, just west of Birmingham). When 1985 rolled around the band took a break then had a brief resurgence from 91-94, then off again until around 2000 but that came with comings and goings of members of the band. Fast forward a few years and the band started releasing new music in 2004 with All Will Be Revealed, 2006 It’s Electric, 2007 What’s In Your Head then last year in 2016 the release of their self titled album Diamond Head.
We caught the band last year at Sweden Rock and this is a band to get out and see live! They sounded great and put on a high energy rock show. Something that I am looking forward to getting another dose of this week in Seattle.
