If there’s something I truly enjoy, it is good rock music, especially live rock music. Last night I had the chance to check out Hell’s Belles in Everett, WA and photograph the show. For those who don’t know Hell’s Belles, they are an all female AC/DC tribute band (formed in 2000) that is even endorsed by Angus Young himself. These hard rocking women have toured the world performing AC/DC hits and are loved by their fans. This isn’t a cheap knock of cover band either. These women are talented musicians who work really hard to deliver and authentic show to do their idols proud.
Hell’s Belles performed last night to a sold out crowd at Flights Pub in Everett, WA. Their opening support was none other than the Adrian Conner band. For those who don’t know, Adrian Conner is the lead guitarist for Hell’s Belles, but also has another project she’s pursuing. The Adrian Conner band put on a really cool and intimate set to warm the crowd up for the mayhem that was about to ensue for the evening.
Hell’s Belle’s took to the stage and put on a high energy show while playing hit song after hit song. As to be expected a few drinks were flung in the crowd by overzealous fans, crowd chants begging the band for more music and of course Adrian jumping up playing on the bar followed up by her spinning around on the stage floor in her classic spinning Angus solo cover move. At one point a few bare bottom cheeks appeared on stage during the show inspiring one fan to jump on the stage and join in baring some skin. The crowd fed off the energy of the band and the band kept give their all for the fans.
It’s always great to see a local band come back through town on tour, but even more fun when it is a group with as much talent and energy as these hard rocking women have. What a great night. I suggest that if you haven’t seen Hell’s Belles before that you make it a point to seek them out. If you have then keep supporting these women by going to their shows and buying their merchandise. You can always count on seeing a great show when it’s the Hell’s Belles.
